Lease Review: 2020 Genesis G70 2.0T AWD

Hello everyone - I recently stopped by my local dealer (Ohio) and was looking into this car.

This is what they offered:

2020 Genesis G70 2.0T AWD Elite Package
MSRP: 43320.00
Selling Price: 41356.00
Cash Incentives: 4750.00
Doc Fee: 250.00
Govt fee: 75.00
MF: 0.00054
RV: 0.47
Taxes: 1612.67
10k miles / 36 mo

Monthly payment: 571.49

Looking at the summer sales event and after doing some research I really thought the leasing prices would be more reasonable (even though it is the Elite package and AWD options vs the deal advertised). Was wondering what other people thought?

Thanks in advance.

That selling price isn’t doing you any favors and the RV is a death sentence for a good lease. Have you confirmed RV/MF/Incentives with edmunds?

Waiting for a reply from Edmunds but looking at the threads it doesn’t seem that far off/anymore encouraging. Yeah the RV shocked me when I spoke with the dealer - was trying to figure out how to go about getting a better deal (first time leasing and spending most of my time reading up on things).

The G70 isn"t a bad unit if i recall a few people hacked a couple last year and got decent deals. At this payment and that RV unless something changes this won"t be hackable it would be a hard pass for me.

Edmunds confirmed at 47% RV 0.00014 MF 4750 incentives. Aside from MF looks like it’s pretty close to what the dealer threw at us.

You may want a little more discount for this to be salvageable. However, despite 11% coming from rebates alone, that terrible residual is going to sink this deal.

That MF mark up is wiping out almost the entire dealer discount. This isnt far off a full MSRP deal.

I am looking into leasing a 2020 G70 2.0T RWD within the next month and was put off by the RV as well but I found some decent deals on the Rodo app. I can’t speak from personal experience about that app but, in my region it looks like there are models with higher MSRP discounts in addition to the manufacturer incentives. As the previous member said, the MF may be throwing off the deal as well.

Hopefully they actually honor those deals

I agree^^^^^^^^^.

I’ve also been looking at the G70s and their numbers seem to be similar to the Stinger, not good leasing programs. I prefer the Genesis over the Stinger for looks and amenities but was hoping to find a better deal on them. Plus I don’t think either models have sold well.
