Lease return without cargo cover?

,

My Hummer SUV came with an optional retractable cargo cover that i removed because it got in way of my dog who rides back there. Do they check for something like that when I return the vehicle? It wasn’t standard and was dealer-installed option on the window sticker. Just snaps into slots.

What about a cargo organizer? Another dealer-installed option on window sticker i have no use for.

Just wondering if I have to hold on to these things for 3 years.

Since no one has responded, perhaps call GM Financial to inquire?

I assume the answer is that you do need to return them w/ those items. What would the rationale for not returning them?

I don’t want to store them for 3 years. I’m sure GM will tell me to return them, but my question is whether they check.

If it is on the window sticker, it should be there at lease turn in.

Was this on the original factory Monroney sticker or was this on a “dealer added items” sticker that usually is placed just to the side of the factory window sticker. Just want to make sure we’re clear. The terminology can get murky here.

Yes, on factory window sticker as “dealer installed” option. I have the cargo cover, roof rails and cargo organizer taking up space in my garage.

On GM website only mentions two keys, floor mats and spare tire if equipped.

I guess I just have to store them for 3 years. Wish I could just turn them in now, haha.

I wouldn’t get rid of them. Just store them.

Usually if the AutoVIN guys don’t catch it, GM won’t care.

I had “issue” with my EQS not having a charger during inspection but I just told MBFS I never got one from the dealer since it was a loaner. They said no worries and waived it. I doubt a car cover will have them asking for money
