Lease return used as "Trade In" to calculate new lease terms

I’m in Washington state and this Autonation dealer is attempting to factor my lease return into the paperwork for a lease on another car… Is this normal?

Can I tell him to not factor the lease end in? why would they do this? I assumed they are obligated to take the loaner back regardless of whether or not a got a car with them.

It looks like they’re trying to give you positive equity on your vehicle rather than you turning it in. Assuming the rest of the deal checks out, why wouldn’t you want them to do that?

When does your lease end?

In 10 days.

On first read it looked to me like they are charging me the difference or didn’t seem to be making a measurable difference at all. Just seemed like noise but I guess I misunderstood.

I don’t understand why they are charging you $750 for a Carfax report unless the report is showing some type of accident damage.

Theyre just vomiting words onto the page to try to justify the purchase price they’re offering.
