Lease Return on A 2020 BMW 330i X-Drive - Repainted Door

,

I made plans to return my BMW without signing a new one. Asked BMW for pre-inspection to see what I would be hit with. Went through Autovin and front two tires and the vehicle check warning are the things that came up as chargeable. My front passenger door which was repainted that he caught he deemed acceptable so I was glad about that.

That report lasts only 60 days and I ended signing a new BMW and it’s been about 3 months. Since then I cleared the vehicle check and swapped the front two tires so everything from old report should be perfect. However I am now once again worried if I just send it in to BMW of Manhattan with an expired vehicle report they will do their own thorough check and ding me $$$ for my repainted door. Is my worry correct?

I can do another auto vin and roll the dice that way but earliest one I can schedule is in 3 weeks which would mean me paying another month of an extra lease, finding daily parking space for the car, and paying extra insurance.

Am I worrying needlessly? Should I just return my car to BMW of Manhattan and all should be ok?

In NY if that matters.

Quality repairs are within scope of acceptable for returns.

Is it a quality repair or a hack job?

For a high volume dealership there’s 0 ROI in devoting man hours to inspecting the ton of lease returns they get. They’ll cherry pick the best for their own CPO lot and just let FS have the rest back.

The car has already been inspected per FS’ protocols
