Hello everyone. I’m new to the idea of actually getting a deal from a lease, so very much appreciate this group and all the resources you guys are providing.
I am curios what has been everyone’s experience with the promotions that we see from all the different manufacturers? Many of them say the current lease promotions are ending on 7/31. Will they renew these “deals” next month? Even on the Leasehackr home page the flash sale deals have expirations on them.
Just trying to get a gauge on if this is really urgent for me to make a decision, especially since considering doing a lease on a new car vs. buying used and paying cash like I have done in the past.
Lease programs will always change month to month. One thing to consider is that the residual value of a particular model year car almost never increases as it goes deeper into the model year. Additionally, some manufacturers partner with third parties like Costco to offer exclusive incentives that eventually expire. In general, auto makers rarely roll a new incentive out that is equal to or better than those special incentives, so if you are looking at a GM or Volvo vehicle at the moment and qualify for the Costco incentive then it may be worth striking before it expires on 7/31. Nobody has a crystal ball here but these are general pieces of information that could be helpful if you are on the fence about a particular car this month.
You never know - cannot predict how incentives will change (or not). As a FYI it’s worth noting that not all manufacturer incentives begin and end in accordance with the monthly calendar (e.g., Nissan).
