Lease program changes mid-month?

Hoping to learn from some folks out there who are familiar with independent lease financing, CULA and others. Do third-party lease terms typically get refreshed mid-month? I had a deal confirmed, and a couple of days later I’m being told by the dealer that the lender changed programs, and the deal is now more expensive. Feels… not quite right.

I’m definitely not familiar w/ independent banks, but manufacturer programs do (rarely) change mid-month, from what I understand, so I assume the same could be true for a non-captive.

Can you provide more details (like which bank)? And what is the reason you (or the dealer) wish to use a non-captive bank?

Thanks. Lender was Rize Credit Union. I have no preference for who the lender is, but the dealer provided a quote based on a program from Rize then a couple of days later said Rize changed programs mid-month, and offered a less favorable deal. I’m just trying to determine whether I’m being played, or if CULA (I believe CULA backs Rize) really does change programs mid-month.

Crazy, never heard of them but now twice in one week…saw they had a tent/sponsored a hole at Chargers golf outing in DP on Monday. You can prob call and ask them!

@RVguy - do programs change mid-month?

Yes, we change on the 3rd Thursday of the odd months. So we just changed our entire program on 5/21/26. We do that because we wait to see all the other competitor programs and then do our analysis. It’s like playing poker where we get to see our competitors’ hands first. We tell all the dealers several times leading up to the program change date so they are well aware that the RVs are only good until 5/20/26 and the new ones will go live on 5/21/26 but a lot of times they don’t open their emails.

@sfe What year, make, model, trim were you quoted on?

Thank you @RVguy this is really super helpful. Sounds like the dealer was being straight with me. Would’ve been good to know the pricing I got was going to change, but at least I know it wasn’t an intentional bait and switch.

It was a 2026 Tacoma TRD off-road manual transmission.

Yeah, we went down 1pt on 36, 2pts on 39 on that trim. But our lease with Rize is still the best payment compared to Ally, US Bank, and TFS by a good margin. Can you PM me the dealer name and who you were talking to at the store? I want to make sure we have that person in our CRM so thy receive our future emails on the RV changes.
