Lease on a 2017 Model Year - Good Idea?

Looking to either buy a 2015-2017 CPO Volvo V60 T6 or lease a new one. I found a ‘New’ 2017 model year that’s listed at $42k ($12k below MSRP). I haven’t reached out to the dealer yet, but what’s the general consensus on leasing a prior model year (if the dealer will let me)? Bad idea, or a bargain considering the cap cost will be low (but RV will also probably be low, considering it’s been sitting on the lot for a year)?

You won’t be able to lease a 17. That ship sailed months ago.

The dealer doesn’t make this decision…the captive finance arm does. I suggest you read up on Leasing 101 before you do anything.
