I’m sure you could return here and buy there. You may have to call GM finance so they can waive the fees for you after the fact. I didn’t really care about the front license plate holder and have had holes on every car. If it hasn’t been done yet I am sure they would do what you want. If not they have the plastic painted cover ups.
In general both transactions need to be done at the same dealer, although different people have had luck escalating to corporate or GMF after the fact. There’s a form they use for grounding the returned lease which must be completed within a certain time frame, which I believe is 48 hours? Call GMF and see if you can ground at one dealer and buy at another and still get credit before doing anything though.
