I live in NY. Leased a Nissan Rogue Sport in October. Wife totaled Nissan Rogue in january. Leased a Jeep compass in january from CT. How do I calculate my dmv refund since i transferred the plates from the rogue to the jeep?

If i look on the Jeep contract and see what they charged for DMV fee would I look to see what the registration is for a passenger car in ny under one year?

Why don’t you ask the DMV? Might be best to get an answer from the source

I will definitely call them monday. It doesn’t make any sense that I would have to pay dmv fee for the nissan and then another dmv fee to the Connecticut dealer if im transferring plates from a 3month old registration.
