Lease Deal Offer: 2020 BMW x2 424/mo

Hi All, I’ve been doing some research and stumbled on your site - amazing all the knowledge and tips you guys share. Just thank you, first for all of that. This knowledge sharing is super helpful when you want to be a more informed buyer.

My question to you all is whether I should take this deal:

I am at the end of my lease with Mercedes (currently leasing a 2017 CLA 250 AWD/346.50 mo 36/12) and MB has not offered me any better of a deal than what I’ve gotten from other dealers.

The one I am considering is more than I wanted to pay a mo but unless I look into a Honda, Toyota, etc. I am not paying under $400 I think.

So I am in talks about leasing a 2020 2 xDrive black on black. MSRP is $45,740 and they are offering it at $36,780 selling price. Dealer quoted me $424.55 per month with 12k miles/year for 36 months and only taxes and fees DAS which would be $3522. Can anyone weigh in and let me know if this is a good deal? Thanks!!

Year, Make, Model, and Trim: 2020 BMW X2 xDrive28i

MSRP: $45,740

Monthly Payment: $424.55

Drive-Off Amount: $3,522

Months: 36

Annual Mileage: 12,000

Residual: 34%

From dealer: This include Taxes and registration fees nor does it include the Two Payments we are willing to pay to Mercedes on your behalf and last but not least is is will 3,999 not 3,522.

Yes All taxes and fees are included. Your lease would be followed by 35 payments as the 1st one is included along with paying 2 remaining payment to Mercedes.

On our side just to be clear—>

You would need to be a 700 credit score a to qualify and you would still turn your vehicle in at Mercedes. We are not responsible for any over mileage, excess wear and tear or disposition fee the may be involved with Mercedes.

taxes & fees $3522? I’d be looking into those “fees”

taxes and fees amount to $3,522 ? What are the incentives that you qualify for ? what is the sales price before incentives ? What is the MF used on this deal ? There are lot of questions you need to go back and ask the dealer.

You’re not at the end if you have two payments left.

Wait til the actual end, this looks horrible at first glance so you’re not missing anything by waiting

Where did you get this residual from? It can’t be right.

Welcome to LH. You picked a great car. The discounted price look good but the RV is crazy low. BMW are saying that that X2 will be $10k in 3 years? They are brokers who deal exclusively with BMW loaner leases with exceptional numbers. Might want to look at about 5 or 10 of those to see what looks comparable and may even buy thru them. My 2 cents.

This is a stripped X2. No leather, no metallic paint. Your msrp is $42545, says right on the sheet you posted.

Where are you getting $45740?

My wife drives '18 X2. She likes it.

Not sure! 19% residual - I may have copied and pasted the original template and forgot to change my number, thanks for pointing that out!

Thank you! What they sent me was MSRP of 45740 (pics attached)

Thanks! Appreciate it

True…thx!

thank you, I will ask for more details on the fees. how much should they be approx? im guessing from your response this is excessive

Please ask for detailed deal sheet bc nothing makes sense… residual is 58% I believe, not 19%. You also need to know the money factor being used.

What incentives are you eligible for? Their selling price likely includes lease cash so discount is probably between 6-8% which isn’t good.

Also the $3,522 in “fees” doesn’t make sense as it could be more than what NJ tax, bank fee, doc fee and registration should be.

How much is your 2 Mercedes payments too?

At first glance it’s bad and just wait 2 months when your lease is actually up and just take one of the many X2 broker deals here.

You definitely don’t have a 19% residual.

What did edmunds tell you RV/MF/Incentives were when you asked there for your zip code?

thank you!!

Incentives or rebates not applicable to me (student/recent college grad, military) thanks!

Is that what Edmunds told you or what the dealer told you

Edmunds had this information - thank you!

You still qualify to the lease incentive offered by BMW. Check out the lease offers page: https://www.bmwusa.com/special-offers/lease.2020-X2-xDrive28i.bmwmass.html?modal=special-offers-legal. You also qualify for conquest, since you are currently leasing a Mercedes.

As some have stated, your best bet is to wait for the end of your lease on the MB. Why the rush getting an X2 now? That offer does not look good.
