Lease Deal Check on 2024 Subaru Solterra Premium

Hi y’all. Central New Jersey here.

Just want to check that this lease proposal, which I know is not a contract by any means, seems like a good starting point. I know it doesn’t have any of the money factor details on it, but I was wondering if this looks like a good deal to you.

From The proposal I got:

$307 per month for 36 months.
MSRP/Retail $46,881.00
Selling Price $43,713.00
Rebate $16,600.00
Government Fee $1,000.00
Proc/Doc Fee $699.00
Paid by Customer $2,000.00
Residual Value $16,408.35

I am thinking about negotiating the amount we pay to drive off in the vehicle to just include the sales tax and documentation fees and probably the first lease payment, which by the looks of things we put it right around the $2,000 mark.

My credit score is excellent, so I know I should be able to go in and not feel like they are doing me any favors.

Check out the Marketplace — you can get a much better EV for that money.

35% 3 year residual is rough

I never have had great success with negotiating leases before. How could I argue myself into a better position?

Are you seeing any data points in Signed Deals & Tips to conclude that you can?

Most of the time when people pick a random car it turns out to be unhackable or subpar at best.

Step no. 1 is to pick a very hackable car.

@max_g what makes a car very hackable? Curious if there are some common characteristics to look for other than waiting to see hacked deals start to surface in Signed Deals & Tips.
