Lease Deal Check, Hyundai Sonata SE 2024 Socal

Hi Hackrs, could I have your honest eyes and thoughts on this lease deal I am working on?

Hyundai Sonata SE 2024, Socal

MSRP: $29,215
Selling Price: 25,715
Doc Fee: $85
Tax: $304
Non Tax Fees: $1118

Down: $0
Monthly: $332 + tax

Drive-off total: $1,610 - $332 first month’s payment, $161.73 taxes, $1,115.75 Non tax fees (registration, titling and licensing).

Greatly appreciate anyone’s expertise in vetting this deal. Should I negotiate more? Am i getting ripped off? Another detail is this model has a recall notification based on consumer reports (brake lights blink or something), i plan to get them to fix that before even considering leasing.

Also, would someone be kind enough to explain to me what the Non-Tax fee entails? Is this something that is negotiable?

Thank you all

*Edit: updated monthly payment and added drive off fee from dealer

Non Tax fees vary but the dealer cannot control it.

This broker has a slightly better price

Or this one

Thank you @forbs, I’ll reach out to this broker and see if it’s a better deal

@forbs, no reply from broker. Also i have a correction to my numbers above,

Down: $0
Monthly: $332 + tax, annoying i know… apparently the number he gave was without tax.
Drive-Off Total: $1,610, including $332 first month’s payment, $161.73 taxes, $1,115.75 Non tax fees (registration, titling and licensing).

I plan to negotiate the monthly down more, but i doubt they would go much lower than that. Does this still seem like a good deal?

So it went from 303 plus tax to 332 plus tax? So it went up $30?
Call the brokers, leave a message. They usually get 100 texts so they can’t answer them all.

Sorry, I tend to get confused with the term plus tax.

$332 is the full number after tax. $303 was the number before tax.
I’ll try reaching out again. You highly recommend going with a broker?

I’ve never gone third party before, just want to be careful.

The two brokers here have been here for YEARS, and I believe they deliver.

Please be aware that you are in the last 2 days of the month and they are slammed so please keep trying.

@forbs,

Got response from broker who offered these rates:
$320 monthly after tax
$2500 drive off total

looking at paying $14,020 total after end of lease as opposed to dealership initial deal which will total at $13,562. Seems the prices from initial listing was not accurate to what they can actually get you, major bummer.

Well then go with your guy I guess but your OOP is really 13230 as your first payment should be included in the down.

BUT
I’m not sure how you went from 239 → 320.
At 10% LA tax that 239 should be 262. Now 320-262 = 58 x 36 = 2088 in Taxes? Something really dropped between his post and the ‘taxes’

The broker came back with $295 plus tax, so looking at $320. I don’t understand the price jump either his reason when i asked is “that’s the best they can do based on inventory”. Don’t know how to feel about that

Am I chopped liver or something?
