Hi. I’ve struggled to find a leasable iX in my area. I almost got the lease swap posted on LH, but the deal was complcated for me. This is not as ‘good’ a deal. I cannot find anything better. Is this a bad deal?
I am comparing this to buying a 2024 Audi Q8 sportback with 15k miles. That car is from a non Audi dealer (VW) so I can’t extend the warranty. It’ll be much like my 2024 Q4, but bigger. We don’t like the Audi APP’s shortcomings. Not heating the car using the APP in winter a deal-breaker for my wife. That said, I love the Q4.
W can buy, not lease (well), a loaner (1K miles) Maserati Grecale EV for $58K, 3.99% APR, CPO’s so has six years of coverage that is transferrable. We don’t think the Maserati handles as well, ironically, but it’s specs indicate it should. We drove four hours RT to test the thing.
The Polestar 4 we can get for $770/mo with inceptions and first month, and the Tesla MY performance $888/months. All with 10K miles. We are mixed up about what to do. The BMW we drove is a 2024 IX 50, so we can’t compare unless we go to New Jersey from CT. We work, and the car is ‘hot’, so if we did this I’d ahve to go alone.

Thanks for chiming in. At MSRP >$90 is it possible to get to these numbers, or better? Or are yours flat out ‘more’? My ideal would be <$1k all-in with inceptions rolled in, and maxing MSDs is okay.
I would take one of these transfers instead. Why pay $1,000/month on an x45 while tying up 11k when you can pay less with no MSDs for an M60? Or save $300/month, again with no MSDs, on a nicely loaded xDrive50.
This is right around your budget and a much, much nicer vehicle.
I looked hard at one of these. Distance lease transferring might be a cakewalk for some, but I must confess the opportunity costs for me seem very high. I chickened out TBH. Deals too good to be true have caveats, I learned.
I don’t have the MF and RV% yet. Asked for it. So, can’t use calculator. Also, as car has 6k miles on it, not sure how that plays into the calculator yet (I need to do that all at once). Being marketed as a CPO.
Is this a good idea, or better to go all-new? Car is within 2.5 hours for me, so no shipping involved.
If you really gotta have an iX you really don’t have much of a choice beyond taking over someone else’s at this point but on the surface looks…okay. Not great. The problem with trying to go for a new one is that there isn’t many left out there and they’re probably all either going to be junk specs or dealer isn’t playing ball.
My first iX was a $1,099 payment on a 98K build but that was 3.5 years ago too before the program got good on them.
What kind of deal are you getting on this? I quoted you on a loaded (two of them in fact) 45, which is about $100 more a month for a brand-new car. You have to think about things like tires on electric cars with mileage on them.
That’s putting very mildly especially considering the location. I know of at least one BMW dealer that ships EVs, at least loaners, from their New England store to their sister store all the way in Nor Cal. And I know at least a couple of those cars that found their way to PT section here.
And as a reference, just helped somebody yesterday get a 2026 ix x60 in WA State which is widely accepted as one of the worst, if not the worst, states for hacking. About 99k MSRP, 4k mi on the clock, 878/mo, true sign and drive, no MSDs.
The deal is in the subject line. I think it’s lower than your offer and I don’t have to fly to VA and drive 250 miles or more just to get it. Isn’t an eDrive 60 better than a 45 in lots of ways?
I have been trying to snag an M60 locally. I considerEd a transfer but the onus of shipping X-C from a private residence with flaky truckers and people’s schedules in question, not to mention DMV lag, it’s not so easy.
Bummer broker found a car that was nearly 300 miles away, but was a 45, and I thought the 60 had better overall standard options. I’ll confess cars are not my business.
I am not aware of a single leasable m60 anywhere in the country other than for transfer. There is less than a handful of leasable m70s - only in So Cal at known tough or unhackable stores - that are all listed at nearly full MSRP. Shipping is nothing compared to their ask in the grand scheme of things.
And, yes, there are very significant differences going from a basic x45 to x50/x60 to m60 as evidenced by about $30K price swing.
@carrot56 just shipped his 840 from SD to NJ so that car should be there anytime now if not there yet. But then you have known about his m60 for weeks before anyone else…
