Hey all - helping my mom out with a small SUV and got this deal - they let me walk yesterday with anticipation of me coming back tomorrow. I think I am in a good spot but just need some reassurance.
It is more than I wanted to put down - think its about $1,500 to $2,000 in fees such as doc, motor vehicles, etc.
Overall cost of lease - if I am thinking about this right - would be $14,620.
Am I missing anything? Anything else you all would like to know to help me out? I tried the calculator but I am a little off due to not knowing exactly what all the spelled out fees are while I was trying to do it.
The biggest question mark is why your mom would want to take an unhacked lease in the first place.
Over two consecutive leases your mom will spend more than the purchase price of the car, and will have little to no equity to show for it. The best way you can advocate for your mom is to recommend not getting on a hamster wheel of unhacked leases.
Hacked leases are great when the lease is so cheap that the cost of two consecutive leases is lower than five-to-six year ownership. This is not the case here.
The biggest hack in this segment is the 0 or 0.9% APR available on several other makes or models.
Thanks Max - sorry for my ignorance here. Where can I find the ‘hacked’ leases. New here so I am curious - I get the hamster wheel part - just need to get her into a car asap - understood on 2 leases would basically hit the cost of car in 6 years. That I get. However it also seems that if I were to buy this one out at the end, the cost is relatively close to msrp.
