Does anyone lease their car and then rent it out on turo? I’m still trying to justify a reason to lease the VW Jetta S for $157/mo. It being a new car, I should be able to rent it out for about $35/day. If it gets rented out just 15 days a month, even with turo taking the maximum amount, I can make $120-$130 a month. I would have to pay for wear and tear and well as over milage, so I would probably just buy it at the end and sell it, but I think I would still come out ahead.
Most manufacturers won’t allow sub-leasing such as Turo. It’s somewhere on the contract. Not to say people haven’t done it still, just a forewarning.
