I have a lease on a 2019 Audi Q5 prem plus with 33k miles on it that I can buy out for 26.5k + 2.5k tax for a total cost of 29k. I’m not over lease mileage or anything and car is in good condition. I was set on buying it out but it seems things are starting to calm down in the car market. Car has to be returned by 12/25.
I reached out to a dealer this week to get pricing on a 2023 q5. I explained my situation to him and he came back with an offer that seemed pretty reasonable.
2023 Audi Q5 40 engine premium with convenience package
Msrp - 48110
Selling price - 43539
Customer cash and loyalty - 2500
At 36 months/10k miles per year with NY taxes and dealer fees rolled in the lease is at $609 a month.
Due at signing is first month ($609) and DMV fees.
Any suggestions? I’m not enamored with the idea of owning the Audi. Warranty about to expire in March 2023. On the other hand this lease is 40 more than I’m paying now, with a weaker engine, and my 2019 had an msrp of 53k.
