Lease bmw 430i gran coupe!

Im leasing a bmw 430i gran coupe that has msrp at $47,350. They are willing to set the seling price to $44,350. And $1000 off. With 60% residual value and 0.00134 MF. Is this an ok deal? Please give me your idea

NOT BAD… IT AT OR A DROP UNDER INVOICE.
YOU CAN GET BETTER SELLING PRICE STILL.

That picture looks like a 4 door

They offer me 1k5 drive off and $570 a month tax included. Should i take the deal?

Not yet … the simplest way to see if you are close is that the monthly (including tax) should be < 1% MSRP (for $0 down, 36/10k, MSDs). In this case, you want the monthly to be around $473. BMWs are one of the best brands to lease so you should be even better than that (or close to that in full tax states)

If you are not willing to negotiate anymore and OK paying $100+ or more per month, you can take the deal now.

As a simple comparison, @willwar14 (after a long search and work) leased a $78k MSRP 550i for $545/mo ($0 down with MSDs). Are you are willing to pay more per month for your 430i gran coupe?

And mercedes benz offered me 2k5 drive-off without MSDs and $650 monthly tax included for an E300 msrp $58,950. Thinking about taking this deal instead.

Gran Coupe means 4 door.

oh weird! I’ve never heard of a 4 door 4-series. I was always of the impression that even numbers were 2 door cars.

They were- but I forget when- they added the Gran Coupe option which bumps the MSRP by a couple grand and makes the car slightly longer with the extra doors. It’s pretty popular and also saves you on insurance for having 4 instead of 2 doors

pretty cool. Thanks for the info

That would be a apples:oranges comparison, because his car was a exec/demo car with 4k miles on it, and if the OP is leasing brand new.

As for the 1% “rule” it doesn’t work if the car isn’t discounted enough (or the RV isn’t high enough). According to his numbers, the depreciation alone is ~450/month. Rent (finance charge) is ~100 without MSD and ~$60 with 7 MSD. So even with 7 MSD he’s looking at $515, plus tax.

He can try to bring the selling price down, but how much? They would have to discount the car to 41.75k before the 1k rebate to hit your 1% “rule” incl tax. Why would they do that unless the car is a complete sales dud

A 2 door coupe with 2 extra doors added on is the definition of a sales dud lol

Why would they? It’s not an SUV, and BMW like pretty much every other carmaker is having a harder time moving sedans than SUV’s.

If you guys can find a brand new $47,350 MSRP 430i GC for ~$41,750, let the OP know. I’m sure he’d appreciate it.

That’s a promising lead. Hopefully it will help the OP.

FYI i live in the orange county area

I was really curious about what the point of the 4 series gran coupe was, so I did a little research and found this article really interesting…

I guess if you’re a little taller or you have taller passengers you may want to stick with the 3 series. For more performance this 4 series is a better option.

Hey guys new to the forum and first time leasing…

I got the following lease on a 2018 Gran Coupe…

$45,500 MSRP
The deal is $2500 down, $520/month for 12k/36 that includes all taxes, fees, etc

I am still trying to learn the MF, etc…but if I calculate out the 520*35 plus the $2500 down…that shows i paid 45% of the car…I guess that means 55% residual?

bad deal?

Spend more than 5 minutes reading the forum and search and you know will if it’s a bad deal.
