The i3 BEV is the fastest car BMW sells - in a race from 0 to 45 mph. Enough said. 
The i3 REX is almost as fast, and the 2017 has no trouble beating a Tesla Model S to a distant destination, since you can fill up the gas tank quickly, even when thereās no SuperCharger around. Anyone thatās taken one on a drive through some switchbacks can tell you how fun it is, even with the narrow tires.

Well, of course it canāt beat every car in every race. But I did watch the episode, and was really torqued about the āstagedā failure of the REX. (They script every contest) Nobody trying to beat the clock would search for fast-charge stations in a REX. Getting gas is always faster.
I8 lease transfer nearly complete, will miss her. One of the most special and quickest cars Iāve leased, while still getting 80mpg! Needed the cash, though. Drive One if you havenāt!
