Lease Advice On 2018 Honda CRV EX AWD

Hello all,

So after reading a lot on this forum I have learned the first most important number when leasing a car is negotiating the Actual price paid.

Can anyone please share what Actual price they paid for a 2018 CRV EX AWD. I know the MSRP is $29,445 and the lowest I can get a dealer is $26,965, which is about 8% off MSRP.

Below are the numbers I’ve got in the LH calculator
Lease hacker calculation for Honda CR-V ex awd 2018

FYI the tax incentive I added was for my trade in.

What do you guys think? Good deal or can I get them to go down more ???

I’m sure there’s also a CR-V forum somewhere.

Your MF and residual looks wrong, edmunds shows .0024 and 60%, not showing a $2500 incentive either. I come up with the following, too much for that car

MF and RV are both from when I originally went into the dealership. I took a picture of the guys screen.

You should have posted that from the get go, and you didn’t post it right, can’t see it

I didn’t even know Honda did 39 mo terms, I’m confused about the total amount down, looks like $5329 including your trade.

I think the down payment shouldn’t be included as a tax incentive. I would include it as part of a down payment. This will reduce your lease hacker score.

Okay here are updated numbers.
About 1400 for trade in
Plus 1000 cash down (yea I know I shouldn’t but I want to keep my monthly payments down)
Plus paying all cost upfront (tax, dmv, etc)
They agreed to selling price of 26k
How the heck are payments still coming to $317???

Who’s math is messed up here?

It is not messed up. The mf is high at 0.00240 and that alone is over $100/month.

Yup. 5.76% LOL. Would not lease.

Yeah it’s been said before, Honda’s don’t lease well. Keep in mind that if you put money down and then total it, you’re out that money. You can get into a luxury class small suv for this money. Or get a Cherokee Limited at the same payment with nothing down. Your effective payment on this is $100/mo+ without money down, horrible lease.

Thanks for the recommendation Joe - Cherokee Limited sounds interesting…
