So here’s what went down, sold my 2019 Lux with over 15K mls in overage miles. Dealer initially give me $3k over buyout. Rolled that into new 2021 Sensory $52100 payment went up $75 - $450… with 1st payment @ signing, paperwork on the deal was all over the place… try to make sense with LH calculator turns out to be about 5% off msrp before incentives… (Florida Dealer ridiculous $899 dealer fee).
2 weeks later – 12-16-2021
Saw a 2021RS $59900@ NJ dealer – got $3000 more over buyout on the 2 week old Sensory – used car deal crazy, unless they see how much money they making on the backend.
Deal on Q50RS
Msrp - $59900
7.5% off msrp
$6200 dealer incentives, according to Edmunds should be $6975 (i ask and they said NJ incentives is different than FL, do your diligence to know your incentives)
$2000 loyalty, $3000 equity.
1st month payment $550 @ signing. FL registration/ Tax 7%.
At the end of the day, my main concern, cars paid off with some equity… not certain if 7% is a good deal on a Infiniti Q50RS. In 2019 when i bought my RS and Lux got about 15% before incentives.
My 4th Q50, SMH after owning 5 new Maxima 89-2010… dedicated Nissan enthusiast.
Dealer have another 2021 RS, which i think they want to move… pm, if interested, i can provide you info.
Congrats! Seems like you’ve managed to find hidden hacks driven by this crazy used car market.
There is so much to digest from this post, but based on the discount provided by the dealer, incentives and crazy used car prices, you’ve managed an nice upgrade with a decent change in MP. For the MSRP change the MP delta is very reasonable. I wonder if people with recent Infiniti leases can replicate this.
Who would have imagined, trading in an almost new lease would yield positive equity. What a crazy world we live in. Also, finding 7.5% off for an in stock unit seems great this day and age.
Might be a “M” …CARMAX, giving me $8K over on what I owed for my 2019 RS, low miles 15K… but too much parts to take off in this cold NY weather… hope they offer that in March 22.
I hope you kept the original wheels. IFS will likely nail you at the end with the cost of the wheels if not, unless you can somehow flip it as-is before turn-in.
