Last lease payment - confused by Chrysler Capital

Forgive me in advance, it’s been a busy few days on my side so this may be a fairly basic question.

My lease is up (maturity date) on June 29, 2024. According to my online account with Chrysler Capital, my last payment is due the same day, June 29, 2024.

Am I crazy (feel free to answer yes if so), but shouldn’t my last payment have been on May 29th for the month of June? I want to say for all of my previous four leases I made the last payment, had a final month with the car, then received a bill for the dispo fee in the mail a month or two later.

That is odd. The last payment should be due 30 days before turn in.

Mine shows the exact same thing (price due date and account maturity) even though I made the last payment in May. I think it’s just a Chrysler thing.

Right? I’ll call to find out what is going on - but I have to say, the lease end process for Jeep has been the strangest of all.

I received a letter in the mail like 4 months ago saying my lease was coming up soon and someone would contact me, but I haven’t gotten anything since. No calls to set up the inspection, nothing in the mail, just silence. I have 17 days left. lol

weird! are we paying in arrears or something?

Hah, yep, same situation. Car due this month and I had to call and tell them I wanted to turn it in since no one ever contacted me :skull_and_crossbones:

All company resources have be diverted to increasing sticker prices.

Little known fact… Chrysler Capital isn’t actually part of Jeep (or Chrysler or Stellantis).

It’s actually everyone’s favorite sub-prime lender Santander in disguise

Interesting, is that why Jeep has been moving the better deals to Stellantis?

Stellantis decided a while ago they wanted to establish an actual captive bank. Hence SFS was born and things have been shifting over that way.

Stellantis is in a death spiral.

Who would have thought raising the MSRP of a RAM 1500 by like nearly 15k would slow sales?

I would love to get another Laramie 1500 but at the current prices it’s an immediate non-starter.

What I can’t understand is why Stellantis (and Hyundai to a lesser extent) raised prices faster and harder than anyone else in the industry.

Jeep Wrangler prices, for the simplicity of the ice version, are absolutely stupid priced. Looking at 2dr Sport S for my kid, $45k stickers, halogen lights and taillights and no keyless at that price. Auto tranny +$4,500 option. WTF.

Agreed. Pretty much my exact spec 4xe from 2021 to 2024 is now 15k higher MSRP. Had the price stayed around the same or at least in the same ballpark, I probably wouldn’t be shopping other brands, but to get the nearly exact same car and pay over $150/mo more than I do now, I feel like my money would be better spent elsewhere.

At least Hyundai has been improving their cars significantly.

The have a long way to go. Most 2011-2021 are unisurable due them not putting a chip in the key. Only a few carriers will accept them as new business, and you will pay a big premium due to theft isssues

Ot the Telluride that needs to be parked outside so you do not catch your house on fire.- recent

ot the other cars that catch on fire

The engine that stops working (had friends go throuh this one- it is not easy to get a replacement unless you can pull every oil change reciept from new).

I would not touch one of these cars with a 10 foot pole. Many are solid, but the issues keep coming and I am not impressed with the response (especially the key issues in the first article). Many owners have no idea that the cars are theft targets.
