Large 3rd Row SUV - Best Lease Options?

I am in need of an SUV with the largest 3rd row I can get within my budget. Been trying to search and read about which make/model might be my best option for a good lease payment. I’m having a difficult time seeing much helpful info.

Anyone have any suggestions of cars I should be considering?

I’d like to be around $900 a month or under.

What about EQB 3-row?

Mazda CX-90 PHEV. Gets the EV Rebate and is a gas / electric

Ev9 is probably the best 3rd row size for the price. Actually able to comfortably fit adults.

Because it is or because you have confirmation bias?

But in seriousness I think a Ford Explorer will lease less than $900 and provide most of what people want in a large 3-row SUV. Ignore the EV’s because they trash.

If you disregard your personal opinion specific to evs, what has a large, usable for adults, 3rd row that offers more in a vehicle for the dollar currently?

The EV9 has an artificially inflated price that allows buyers to feel they have bought “luxury” all with huge incentives needed to sell it - so “for the price” is a misleading statement at best. Oh, and it is also a full EV, so yeah I agree with the above that it is pretty much trash.

Far better options for an “all-around” SUV on a “dollar for dollar” basis with a decent 3rd row would be a Telluride/Palisade, Tahoe/Yukon, the new Santa Fe or a CX-90.

Have you priced out a lease on an ev9 against all of those?

We are talking about lease prices, not msrps. I agree the msrp of the ev9 is ridiculous, but no one is suggesting purchasing one.

Tahoes and Yukons will never lease well but OP said “$900 a month or under” so I am sure he could find one.

As for a Telluride/Palisade, Santa Fe or a CX-90 not leasing for under $900 per month? If so, you are doing it wrong.

Volvo xc90. Comes in hybrid and gas options

Mild hybrid or phev. No gas only option anymore.

Very helpful. Thanks everyone.

Love the EV9 but EV’s aren’t an option right now per the other decision maker.

That Mazda PHEV seems like a really good option. I really like the new Sante Fe’s but that 3rd row seems tight. I have 11 and 13 year old boys that would be sitting back there fairly regularly and they’re just getting bigger.

Ideally I’d want a Ford Expedition but they just lease like crap and i have nothing to trade in for money down right now for financing.

Check out the Wagoneer L if the expedition is too expensive. But don’t be surprised that it is in the shop a ton. @djrabbi can attest.

i just picked up a 3 row grand cherokee and surprisingly anyone 6ft or under can sit comfortably in the 3rd row, also well below your budget.

I actually had a jeep grand Cherokee L as a lease for a couple years. Hated it. And it did have lots of issues.

Going to steer away from jeep.

I really like the expeditions interior size. As well as the options you get for the money.

I do think the Wagoneer is a much better looking vehicle from the exterior, but I just can’t do it

I suspect you will find the cx90 rear seat has the same issue as the sante fe

Jeep lease programs pretty much fell off a cliff this week

Who is regularly riding in the 2nd row if not the boys?
