Land Rover Discovery (full sized LR4 replacement) lease offer from San Diego LR seems crazy high

Hacker,
So I am looking around to replace my ride that is going to end soon. Chase is offering a 3 month pull ahead…

I found a base 2018 Land Rover Discovery SE that would be perfect to replace the smaller brother Discovery Sport that I currently lease.

Knowing that other dealers are trying to clear out their 2018 by offering $6,000 - $7,500 off MSRP (those models don’t get any captive bank financing or leasing).

Is there something wrong with these numbers ?

There is nothing wrong with these numbers for the dealer. For the customer, on the other hand, they SUCK!!!

Yeah no kidding!

I see other dealers like Anaheim Hills offering up to $7,500 off new 2018 Discovery but they don’t have any captive bank support.

Wonder if rates from US Bank or Ally is better ?

Did you get a chance to get a deal on the full-sized Discovery yet? I am currently looking for one and would like some info. if you have. Thanks.

What I have found is that most of the So Calif dealers are trying to get rid of the full sized 2018 Discovery by discounting the car about $8,000 off MSRP but specifically states that they do not qualify for Chase financial lease support.

The dealers are saying you have to bring in your own financing or use an outside non captive leasing bank like Ally or US Bank or a credit union.

Last year I know there were lots of 2017 left over in mid 2018 with $10,000 off MSRP to move them…

Not very nice move of LR as I have a current Chase LR financial lease thru them and wanted to take advantage of the early lease pull ahead, loyalty, etc…

I visited Santa Monica LR twice and $3,100 + 3000(LR lease credit) for a 7 seater HSE was the offer with 33 months, 10k miles, first months and fees upfront about $1,500 ish, 0 down. Came up to be $755 per month for a $66,xxx msrp before discounts. Does your $7,500 discount offer fron Anaheim Hills includes LR lease credit?

im also in the market for 2018 LR Disco HSE
below is the quote i received from one of so cal LR dealer.
dealer discounted 11% off MSRP (saying very aggressive discount, but they marked up on MF)
i decided to wait for couple months…

MSRP: $62,876
Selling Price: $55,960
Monthly Payment: $748.33 (tax included)
Cash Due at Signing: ($0 cap cost reduction + fees + dmv etc. )
Incentives: $0
Months: 33
Annual Mileage: 10K
MF: 0.00148 (marked up from 0.00063 September’s)
Residual: 62%

Yes, the combined discount plus incentives were combined for that discount.
But the ones at Anaheim Hills are not eligible for Chase Financial (captive bank) leasing.
You can lease thru US Bank or Ally - the dealer can do it for you but the MF was too high…

I am waiting for 20% off in December. The 2019 SE has more standard features that is almost like a 2018 HSE. Plus the extra year depreciation 20% is reasonable.

Has there been past experience with LR discounting left over 2018 by 20% ??

yes, the SE trim on the Discovery has more than enough features standard that I am happy with - compared to coming from the smaller brother Discovery Sport that I have which is an HSE trim plus options…

I was referring to purchase, not lease. The discount is already close to 15% now (10% off MSRP + 3K purchase/cash credit). 20% should be doable in December.
