Land Rover dealer recommendations

I’d recommend giving JLR West Chester and Allentown a shot. I’ve done business with both in the past and was very happy.

I presume you mean PA? Anyone in NY will assume the one in NY.

I said West Chester, not Westchester!

Yes, PA

I actually just came from a JLR dealer today. Real nice people, great experience to work with. I didn’t get a car from them (they didn’t have any), but they did say they were being pre-sold before arriving to the dealer. I have a feeling they’re honest enough to at least sell at sticker. JLR Princeton, Joel was the person I was talking to, nice dude.

If you have chase Private client account check your car loan option you can have up to 10% off PIN code.

This is the way

Won’t be honored.

Ding ding ding, this is a -:infinity:% to 10% off code or -:infinity: to 5% off code for certain models.

Dealer discretion to honor discount, aka they can charge as they please.

I know a kid who called every Land Rover dealer in the tri state area and made them battle it out for a sweet deal at Land Rover Marlboro or Edison. Worth a shot

Cool story  Usually friends who tell stories like that get crummy deals then pretend they were the best deals.

LR is in a horrific spot right now from an inventory perspective and it is not getting better in the next few months.

For a new Defender, I am confident one will not do better than within a few hundred bucks (maybe $1000) of MSRP and I’m being generous.

Haha good luck with that, some Jag dealers might accept those months ago, no Land Rover dealers accept them, especially now.

Same owner. Catena.

I mean he’s only paying 750 a month for a defender with nothing upfront other than taxes titles and fees

K

But just to prove a point, that could still be a sticker deal or an over sticker deal depending on the trim level and MSRP.

I’d have to get more info from him, I’ll see what the entire deal was and get back to the thread

Not necessary. My point is…there is no LR dealer battle right now. It’s “pay MSRP or pay over MSRP. If you dont like it, take a walk.”

Especially true in Tri-State and New England where Defenders are like…the ultimate car for the Hamptons, Cape Cod, Nantucket, and MV.

Which means nothing in a state with unregulated fees. Some dealers have $2,000+ in combined doc, prep and other dealer fees (not including DMV)!

Bigger picture these third party stories frequently leave something out, like trade equity, demo/damage/loaner status, etc etc.

Oh no of course, but anything is better than the 1k a month and 3k down they are asking for a base defender at my local dealership lol :joy:

RV is really strong right now , which makes me a little concerned for ordering a car , no way of knowing what RV will be in 4-5 months . Also noticed that there’s a significant different in RV Based on what model you order , the base is higher then the X Dynamic. Right now it looks like 39 months is the sweet spot , but 36 is about the same
