After 6 years at my current job (PEO) and moving up in the company multiple times it was my time…they laid off 300 workers. They have been laying people off for 3 years, but this was their biggest cut.
Last year they opened a center in India and hired 500 people and during the same week they laid off couple hundred workers.
It’s been two weeks since I was let go of. The industry I worked for is struggling badly (PEO) and I doubt I will find another position in the same field. I’ve put in about 10 apps in so far for various hr jobs. So far. I’ve heard back from 3 and one of them I am in for a second interview and afterwards a third interview if things go well.
Truly sucks lol. I do have a severance package and they will pay for my cobra for 3 months.
