Hi, does anyone know if Kia offers a pull ahead lease return? If so, how many months will they pull ahead? Does Kia offer any overmileage or damage forgiveness if leasing another Kia?
Kia will periodically do a pull ahead program about 2-3 times a year. Usually they will waive 2-6 months of your remaining payments, it depends on what the pull ahead program is that month. Also they don’t waive any excess mileage or damages if you do a pull ahead, it’s only a waive of remaining payments and the disposition fee.
What sucks is that you never know when they will do a pull ahead program, it is completely random.
I was a Kia Salesman for 3 years.
Please let me know if you have any other questions I can help with.
Thank you, Matt! When Kia does have the pull ahead program, do you know how that it advertised (on their website, mailer, etc.)?
It varies every time they do it. Usually they will due it once sometime in the summer and in the winter, but they have skipped it some years. What I typically have found though is that Kia does little to tell the customers about it. Usually the dealers have a way to view the pull ahead list and we would call them to let them know that they are eligible for the pull ahead.
Kia isn’t a big fan of pull aheads due to almost all of their cars being worth 2-6K less than their residuals.
I’m currently still in my Kia lease from when I worked at a dealer and I pray the end of my lease is around a pull ahead time.
Also if you have ever been late on a payment Kia doesn’t let you ever do the pull ahead program. I’m not saying this applies to you but just a fyi.
Be careful with Kia’s pull ahead. A couple of times I saw them advertise up to 18 months pull ahead, they wanted either apply all remaining payment toward the new lease or purchase the car and apply the negative equity. Basically a scam.
Usually advertisements like that is the Dealership not KIA itself. I had times where we told customers that they were eligible for pull ahead but really they weren’t.
Also Kia will sometime do this. They have Pull ahead that is available for customers with 6 payments left in their lease and will only cover 2 of them leaving the 4 to be rolled into the new car.
