Kia Lease Excess Mileage Forgiveness

I’ve been working with a local Kia dealer on an EV6 lease. One of my big concerns was mileage since I know I’m going to drive it over 15k miles. I’ve been talking directly with the GM of the dealership, he is claiming that Kia will waive any amount of excess mileage as long as you lease or finance into a new Kia upon return of the vehicle. However, he claims that you won’t see this in any customer facing documents because they don’t want to end up having dealers abuse it as a sales tool.

Has anyone else experienced this or seen something like this? Seems waaaay too good to be true.

For reference, this is a dealer in central Indiana, I have not previously worked with them before.

so he’s obviously lying.

I think that’s the only part that matters…

its really easy to say stuff like this when you aren’t planning on being at the store when the leases mature…

Kind of makes you think this dude is on his way out the door next month or something. I’ve also never seen a GM jump straight in with a customer from the initial lead. It’s been weird stuff since day one with this dealership, and then he threw that at me…

All said and done I don’t see myself leasing from that dealership, but figured it was worth tossing out to see if someone else had some insider info or something.

Kia once offered forgiveness if you leased another Kia…but not recently that I know of.
It changes quarter to quarter so you could see it on your portal and poof, it’s gone.

Anything can be arranged if you pay enough for the next car.

why not just add the miles you need up front? Be it with this or any other car your are looking at.

On the EV6 it’s actually cheaper to pay the mileage penalty afterwards up to a certain point, which I would likely fall within that.
