Kia K5 GT-Line Quote

,

Received a quote today for inbound Kia K5 GT-Line AWD from a dealer today and I am confused as to where they calculated such a high gross cap cost. When I requested some explanation as to how they obtained the number, I was told that the dealership would not do business with me as they are “too busy” to explain such specifics. Hoping someone here could help clear up whether this is a blunder on my end or just shady business practice.

Sounds like they told you everything you needed to know about possibly doing business with them in their response.

With that said, the gross cap they’re showing is the sales price + fees + upfront taxes + first month’s payment for a $0 das lease option.

Thanks for the clarification. Should have realized the triple zeroes under amount due spoke for themselves.

It’s called ADM (Additional Markup)

Yes they booted you because you ask questions.
Check Marketplace to see if you can get it without getting the boot.

But it adds up. I think the nitwit on the line couldn’t explain what would take a functional brain 30 seconds to explain.

More likely they didn’t want to…a 25k car for 29? yikes. (I don’t see AWD anywhere) so this is a 25k car.

I don’t have time to explain it to you, so I won’t be doing business with you! LOL

Welcome to the Carpocalypse. Where a dealer says , I have a car, who’s got money. /sigh.

Can only be amused by the absurdity at this point.

Just to clarify this was an AWD GT-Line without the sunroof package and ironically enough I contacted that specific dealership because they are known for not charging over MSRP. Customer service is a different story…

A K5 GT line AWD is a $29k MSRP car.

I don’t see any reason to lease this car vs financing it. In the course of two of these leases you’d have paid it off or close to it.

How much is a 6yr old K5 GT line AWD worth? That’s how much money you’re leaving on the table.

Weird, I’ve actually had a few email conversations with that same salesperson listed on your sheet, and he was really straightforward in answering my questions when I dealt with him.
