Kia Finance misled me on lease excess wear and tear warranty -how would "you" proceed

**** Finance person called back and admitted her mistake. She also omitted the option in the contract to pre-purchase miles at $.15 per mile.
They are going to re-submit the deal.
**This omission caused me significant stress and lack of sleep last night worrying about how to proceed with this. I feel that re-negotiating or walking away from the deal is an option.

I just leased a Kia EV6 AWD Wind w/ tech in Washington state. I am satisfied with the deal except for signing the excess wear and tear option for $959

I am going to drive a lot, it was cheaper to get a 10k lease and budget for the overage than to get a 15k mile lease.

The finance person told me about what she called a “lease cheat code”. She said that the Excess wear and tear option would cover up to $7500 in mileage. She even calculated it out, $7500 @.20 per mile is 37500 miles.
She did not provide any documentation to back this up.

As I drove home I became increasingly uncomfortable with the wear and tear package.
I immediately Googled this and can find no references to the wear and tear package covering mileage.

I also just noticed there is an option in the contract to purchase miles up-front @ $.15 per mile a .05 savings.

Deal attached is withoout the $969 wear and tear option

So did you buy miles up front?

The difference here between 10k and 15k if you buy upfront at $.15 a mile vs doing a 15k works out to like $200 over the life of the lease. That’s hardly something worth significant stress and losing sleep over.

Do you like the car?

If so keep it. You are talking about a couple hundred dollars. If that causes a lack of sleep then this is too much car for you. Get a Much cheaper car

I did not purchase additional miles up front, I was not offered the option even though the option is in the contract. This is the option I would have taken if I knew it existed. (I know I should have reviewed every line of the contract).
I am angry that the wear and tear option was misrepresented to me as a way to “buy” miles dirt cheap.

My suggestion in the future… ignore everything the finance person says.
