Ok, I’ve been using the Inventory tool on the Chevy site to find target vehicles, but I never bothered with the Buy Your Way tool aspect of it, assuming it would just be terrible National offers with zero dealer discount. But now that you have me playing around a bit it’s definitely helping me understand this complex web of incentives Chevy has going here. Here’s what I can infer from the Buy Your Way tool:
LT Trim Package = $1750 Only on Equinox EV: Appears to only be on the Equinox LTs with a Convenience package (NOT just the Comfort package), meaning the MSRPs are generally going to be in the $40s. It will be listed on the GM Inventory site as a “Lease Cash Allowance” and that’s it.
Blazer Courtesy Vehicle Incentive = $3000: Though the Blazer doesn’t get the LT Lease Allowance, it does get a larger Courtesy Vehicle incentive. Applies to all Courtesy Vehicles, regardless of trim or build. Also, listed on the GM Inventory site as a “Lease Cash Allowance.”
Equinox Courtesy Vehicle Incentive = $1500: Applies to all Courtesy Vehicles, regardless of trim or build. Will be listed as another Lease Cash Allowance that can be stacked with the LT Lease Cash Allowance.
No Acquisition Fee on some Equinox and Blazers: EDIT: I checked some more Equinoxes and found some that DO have the acquisition fee, after all. It seems more likely in the higher trims, too. Some of the Blazers did not have one either, but this seems to be left up to the dealer and is less common. Something to look for, for sure.
Mystery $250 Lease Cash Allowance: @jrizzy1234 pointed this out earlier in the thread. I have not seen that at all in my zip code, so… not really sure what’s triggering that. I’m guessing it’s regional?
Were any of those deals in the month of June? Is it possible that they stacked last month but do not any longer? Looking at the Chevy Inventory Tool, it definitely makes you choose one or the other between Conquest and Current Lessee.
Chevys own website is pretty useless when it shows pricing. Dealer pricing has never really matched it in my experience. I don’t even bother using the Chevy site when searching for cars since it’s so disconnected from what deals actually look like.
That lease conquest is listed as a private offer on the calculator. Does that mean I need to have received a code or something from GM? Or who can get that?
I just talked to an IL dealer who confirmed Lease Conquest and Conquest stack, and you just need to bring in the vehicle registration cards to prove ownership.
Thanks for everyone’s help on this, and I hope this information helps others. I ended up signing a lease on a ~1000 mile Courtesy Vehicle 2025 Blazer EV LT AWD for $176/month with only first month’s due at signing. This Blazer had Convenience and Comfort package, Panoramic Sunroof, and also had the Two-tone option as well. Maybe I’ll throw it up on Signed when I get a chance.
I was originally targeting Equinoxes, and if I stuck with that, I probably could have gotten a lot closer to to $100/month. If you were fine with FWD, too, then I definitely think you can get an Equinox pretty close to $100 using the information in this thread. Even a FWD/RWD Blazer could get pretty close to $100/month as well. My wife definitely wanted AWD to help make snowy conditions a bit more manageable, and we both think heated seats/steering wheel is basically mandatory in cold climates, so I was limited to looking for LT with convenience AWD Models or better. I originally thought the Blazer and Equinox were pretty similar, but the Blazer is a bit roomier on the inside and does have a bit more storage, which is pretty nice if you have children like I do.
The dealer had a listed dealer discount of $5000 on their site. You’d think that any dealer listing that kind of discount might honor it, especially when each one of them had language on the site that specifically said “this discount applies to everyone,” but I had multiple dealers try to play games and act dumb on that, or try to claim it doesn’t apply to leases. This dealer stuck to it, though, waived the acquisition fee, and didn’t add in any markup on MF or anything else.
In Michigan I can’t find anyone who will even get close to these numbers. They just play games and talk to their manager and then come back without showing numbers and come up with a ridiculous payment. I could have one shipped. Can someone please let me know what dealership they have been able to get the lease at.
Yeah, it sounds like you’re going in person to the actual dealer first. I would not go to the dealer until you have a deal hammered out. Email a full offer showing you understand all the numbers, including MF/RV, all incentives, etc. Figure out what your taxes are, make sure you know which incentives apply to you/and or the vehicle you’re targeting, everything.
In my case, the dealer was impressed I had the offer all correct pretty much to the dollar and accepted immediately. Like I said above, though, some dealer will not give any dealer discount, will lie or recant on their own listed dealer discount, or try to mark up the MF/add on BS packages, etc. You just have to reach out via email and find out, imo. It can be annoying and stretch over several days of emails, but it’s way better than subjecting yourself to the games they play in person.
If they play games, move on. I had several dealers try stuff like that and when they circled back to me later I got to tell them I signed with another dealer who didn’t play games.
