Have a wagoner that has been in the shop a ton. First series of issues were fixed and then gave me some goodwill $$. Now a second round of stuff with another 28 days in the shop. Has anyone gotten a second payout or should I just try lemon it? Nice enough car and happy to milk it a bit more and hope it survives another year if theres more $$
Sounds like a real brick so I’d be focused on trying to get rid of it ASAP. Even if they “fix” it and you keep it, a carfax a mile long can nuke your resale value, and/or you’ll still be responsible for any warning lights or issues at lease turn-in.
Could go the route of trying to get Stellantis to buy it back if you don’t want to lawyer up right away but who knows how long that could take. Curious if you signed any papers for that first payment that would preclude you from asking for that though.
Otherwise, lemon law attorney… they usually work on contingency. I think CA is 30 days non-consecutive so sounds like you’re already there.
This is easy to open a lemon case because you’re over the 30 days. You start with Chrysler and they’ll open a case and work with you on a buy back solution.
You can negotiate with a buyback first. If not satisfied, then lawyer up esp. in CA, the manufacturer pays for lawyer fees.
Yea may ask about that if I can get a bit more money and they take back would justify finding a new lease.
