How hard was the install?

In principal…easy. There are only 3 wires to connect (directionals, courtesy lights and ground). But, without taking the fenders off, getting to the plug to tie into the directional wire is difficult and space very is tight. One wire does need to route through the firewall to connect to the factory courtesy footwell
light as well (on each side…or a single wire through the firewall and another wire run across the engine bay to connect both vent lights to the same wire run through the firewall.

Getting the factory vents off will require some standard trim removal tools and some care, but theyll come off (without breaking😁 )

Id say its a 3 hr job in total if one has mediumish skills in this type of stuff. The efforts are worth it IMO as the sides look sooooo much better.

Any chance you could share a video? Would love to see it in action!

Edit: Nevermind, just found your post above! Lol

I’ve got a list going, but figure I should at least get the jeep first

I know, I have ordered stuff for cars long before they were here as well. Then it is a fun installation frenzy

Ok guys and gals. Serious question here.

For those who play Forza, which tune should I use on my 4xe?

I ended up deciding to keep the black sills instead of swapping them for SS as originally planned (as I like how the black ties to the black side steps). But, for a bit of extra pizzazz I ordered these. Im digging adding various cosmetics (that I can yank off if I get sick of em, or otherwise just dont like em).

Also…I cant recommend these tires enough. They are far and away the best mod I have done. The ride is improved (feels less squishy) and visually is so much more aggressive than the stock tires. And, they are not really even noisier than stock tires. So, the only downside is the $

This stuff should be standard on all Jeep (and every other cars) doors. Sooooo easy to apply and is virtually unnoticeable.

I bought a much larger roll a few days ago (it gets even cheaper in quantity) and am going to do the doors on every car.

Another simple item if one wants a tiny bit of cleanup in the license plate area and doesnt want to use a plastic or metal frame. These were of surprisingly good quality for the $.

FYI…although this cover is of high quality, the one flaw on it (if one has the hard cover version with the vinyl surround), is that there is some serious stitching needed to punch through the plastic to join the vinyl. In some areas around the perimeter, the stitching holes are pretty obvious.

I fooled around with ways to clean it up visually and found that 1/4" molding tape worked perfectly. Im actually going to send an email to Boomco (which they may ignore  ) noting that this might be something to consider as standard as its o inexpensive to do, yet yields a much cleaner result.

I should have these on by this afternoon and will report back how they look (and provide a quick video of them operating).

Have you looked at any of the ppf for the door hinges?
