Jeep 4xe Sahara Lease Advice

,

I currently have a lease that ends in October. Reached out to a couple dealerships to just explore options available now. Each dealership has recommended the 4xe to me when I inquired on a 2dr Wrangler, saying with the incentives the 4xe is a better deal. I live in DE, have very good credit, drive on average 6-7k miles a year, and was looking to keep my payments at or below $475.

I was just given these numbers on a 2023 4xe Sahara. The salesman recommended I not put any money down, which I understand is basically prepaying the lease. I did ask him to run it again with tax/tags paid up front. Otherwise, is this a decent lease or am I getting screwed? I am a novice and appreciate your advice.

$62025 would be the MSRP here. At $1000 off MSRP, this is a very lame deal.

How should I counter it? Tell them I want more off the MSRP? Is there a standard amount dealerships usually will go for?

I’d start by looking at the brokers on here that have vehicles available to figure out what it would cost you to get one through them. Factor in the broker fee and any transportation costs. With that number, you know what you can get the vehicle for… so you have a negotiation ceiling. Why pay the local dealer more if you can get it elsewhere for a whole lot cheaper?

Alternatively, you might consider ordering a 24 wrangler with all the improvements it’s bringing. Depending on who your current lease is through, you may have the option of extending it if necessary, should you have to bridge a calendar gap.

Thanks for your replies! Appreciate it
