Looking to lease either one of these vehicles from the 480-500 range per month. I’m looking to sign and drive with 3k at most. Does anybody think this is possible? BMW and Jaguar dealers are writing me off like a moron when I come in telling them that’s the most I’m willing to pay lol. Credit score is in 700 range. They’re basically trying to say these vehicles are so in demand at the moment that they are not willing to discount.
If only there were spreadsheets in the marketplace section that had current offers on these exact cars… and a search function where you can see what people have recently signed these exact cars for
5min of research says you can do sub 500 on an x3 with 0 DAS and all fees capitalized into monthly payment…
Go through a broker on here. Super simple and numbers very transparent.
Problem is you look at those spreadsheets and then ask a broker and they all tell you those numbers are unrealistic at the moment because of limited inventory
People are so full of crap here IMO with these deals. If you live in a area like NYC or Westchester NY you are not getting 10% off MSRP. They will tell you to take a hike because someone will come in a pay full MSRP. I wouldn’t trust some of the deals posted here. Go with your gut.
What pre-incentive discount on either car gets you to your target? What incentives do you qualify for? You are going to have to run the numbers and make an offer to dealers. Inventory and chip shortage issues, along with not enough manufacturer-backed incentives are making leasing expensive ATM.
If dealers in your area do not want to play ball, there are lots of brokers in the “Marketplace”.
Here’s a hint: if you like the price on a LH Marketplace thread, take it from the dealer/broker who supplied it (ie the person who created the spreadsheet).
Don’t take that price to some random ass broker/dealer who will obviously tell you to GTFO because they’re too busy selling at sticker at full MF markup.
Hah. Small world. I was born in Mt. Kisco. You won’t get a deal like what I can do up there, but you can take an uber or have a car delivered with a deal like that.
I hear you but most people don’t drive and just pay the premium. People make it sound like it’s really easy to score deals and it’s not. 9/10 dealers will just sell it to the next guy for a higher number
There’s a big difference between “you have to put some effort into getting the deals posted here” and “don’t listen to the people here, they’re lying about their deals”
Nobody is saying people are lying about deals they got. Some brokers here obv do not get you there advertised price though. Got 3 brokers here so far with spreadsheets in April that show monthly payments, yet prices end up being $100 more a month.
Most of those spreadsheets don’t take into account your Local taxes. For example NJ has no tax on EVs but I live in NY and gets charged up the ass for it. The number varying by $100 makes sense there due to the taxes. Treat the numbers as the lowest possible you can get.
Keep in mind some include MSDs and incentives, just like any other advertisement… some may qualify for all some may not (such as loyalty, penfed, costco, etc…)
I don’t think the forum creates the impression that it’s easy but that’s in the eye of the beholder.
There is definitely value in knowing what’s possible and then each person can make a personal choice of how much money they’re willing to leave on the table for convenience.
Besides, people prioritizing convenience might as well take a broker/dealer deal from the LH Marketplace
When you say don’t trust the deals that you’re seeing here, the implication is that the deals posted are not valid. We get people all the time, particularly in other forums (r/askasalesman for example) that go on and on about how untrustworthy the deals posted here are and that we’re all just posting false deals to make ourselves feel better and troll the car sales industry. Dealers often echo the same thing to customers that say “well, I saw such and such deal on LH”.
