Shop some local dealers on a Macan and see what they come back with.
Just to add that to that LH pricing is not normal. When I sold BMW, most deals were done in the 2%-4% off area and $70k X5s leased for $1000/mo all day long. When 90% of the market is shopping cars and they see a $1400 Cayenne lease and a $1000 X5 lease, a $900/mo GLE lease is not such a bad deal.
Your first born son, and right or left kidney (whichever is less damaged) to our holy gods PFS.
People shouldn’t be, but…I bet people are paying $900/mo on these. In fact, I’ve seen people with much worse lease deals. Lots of people need a mercedes to flex on the neighbors, and wealthy people with stocks are killing it now. Less wealthy get a big stimulus. Green stacks for everybody. I’m guessing there are many people around eager to sign a pretty silly lease.
Why do you feel entitled to dictate the price of any car, OP?
He’ll, he’d get to those numbers shopping FPace and Land Rover.
Heck, there are people paying $900/mo to lease a Pilot…
That is not necessarily true. I picked up my GLE 350 last week. Overall it is a phenomenal SUV compared to the competition (and no I’m not paying 800 a month for a 64K SUV, that is insane).
Hate to break it to you, but the $705/mo 3500 DAS you’re paying is less than $20 away from $800/mo for a 64k SUV…
If it were ALL cap cost reduction then yes it would be bad but my 3.5K DAS is covering starts and whatever was left over went towards cap cost (which is about a few hundred, maybe less). General rule I’ve seen is starts cost about 5% of the MSRP give or take.
This all still goes towards your total lease cost.
Are you going to get a Defender for less than the GLE? I kind of doubt it, for some reason…
If every car dealer could move their cars at their cars at zero 0% off or even mark up, they would
GLE is new, and it’s nice. You can pay or just find another car
You’re trying to draw a line that doesn’t exist. A dollar out of your pocket is a dollar out of your pocket.
Please never lease again until you’ve gotten at least a B+ on Leasing 101.
Dealer I was at this weekend someone paid 50k extra to get this and it was sold IMG_2883|666x499
Not quite sure what paying above MSRP on a G-Wagen has to do a GLE…
I want to know more about this 5% general rule, and how it correlates with the 1% rule.
TBF he drew the line at $783.63 all in and not a penny more
