I had been tracking a new, untitled 2024 Porsche Taycan CT. Today the dealer told me that Porsche won’t let them lease the 2024s as new anymore–thus eliminating the 7500 rebate among other tumble-down effects. She said she could sell it, or we could classify it a CPO–which also changes a number of things. And then she quoted me an insane number I will not dignify the hackers with. But has anybody else heard that about 2024 Taycan leases?
Epic bag fumble… I haven’t seen this type of fumble since someone got offered a Targa 4 GTS allocation for MSRP and the guy turned the dealer down.
@IAC_Scott and @li8625
Yeah I wonder who that dumbass was. Couldn’t be me!
What I’m referring to here is actually NOT that car. But generally…obviously that dumbass is me. but…to be fair…I don’t even remember which one that was anymore. Maybe in Salt Lake City? Or…Bay Area? I ended up getting a different car I was very happy with for two weeks until the AC broke and the dealer’s had it for five weeks and can’t figure it out. I’m getting out of it as a lemon.
It was Steven’s creek. I DM’d you a link to the car and a picture of a cat shooting a sniper rifle. How you passed on that deal is… fumbley.
Unless you turned down a 911 Targa 4 GTS at MSRP you’re not the dumbass I was talking about lol.
Right! Steven’s Creek. Something happened there and I can’t even remember what. I feel like I couldn’t get them to call me back like three times and I said fuck it. I was too far away to test drive it.
I actually got a Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. Which I loved until it didn’t work. So now I’m back on the market. But not for another N.
Are you asking if 2024 Taycans have lost lease support?
It is true that 2024 Taycan’s no longer have new car lease support.
Do these really commonly have ADMs? Feel like there is a world of diff between one of these and a a GT car in desirability though obviously not that much performance wise. Who knows how the hybrid will do maintenance or reliability wise as well, idk I’d be pretty hesitant.
Targa’s are pretty desirable
Yes, targas are actually similar to GT3s in terms of desirability.
10char
Targas in general are pretty desirable, but not to the level of GT cars. I’ve seen several people get regular Coupe Carrera GTSs at MSRP, no ADM. Right now the T seems to have a bit of a wait, although allocations were readily available at release. 911 demand seems to have softened a bit since there’s a good amount of uncertainty. GT3 Tourings are still commanding steep ADMs
I hope you are directing this comment at @li8625 . He’s only recently learned about Porsche GT3 pricing and that they go for more than MSRP.
I’ve seen targas go for the same ADM as a GT3 wing. GTS and under are at MSRP for most people now. The only 911s going for over are Targas, GT3 touring and non touring, and GT3RS. Targas and gt3 are like 40-60k and GT3RS is like 100-150k over now.
What about Turbos?
Does the shift to a CPO program affect the residual (I’d presume adversely) automatically? Even with all other aspects of the car remaining the same (mileage at zero, etc.).
no data available.
