Is this a good Ioniq 5 lease deal

New to Lease Hacker. Northern CA

2/22/24 - I walked into a dealership looking for a GV70 but the sales person talked me into looking into their new leases on a 2024 Ioniq 5 SEL AWD lease. He says $5k down plus $1k in fess (about $6k out the door). Payment is $199/mo. Plus tax. 24-months 12k miles. I didn’t ask about residuals or disposition fees.

I wasn’t in a market for one but this seems like a good deal if I don’t intend to keep the car and kick the can down the road on a Genesis for a couple of years.

Can the experts here provide a gut check if this is a good deal?

Thank you.

That money down means an effective of $450ish a month, compare that what’s been posted/offered by brokers here. You need sales price, incentives MF to really evaluate the deal.

Don’t forget that adding tax doesn’t just hit you on the monthly, but probably around $1000-1500 added to the upfront for tax on the incentives/cap cost reduction.

Thanks for the reminder. I believe the extra $1k on top of the $5down cover the tax on the incentive.

Thank you. I have to learn more about the other specifics to make a final decision. Judging from other signed deals on this site, effective $450 seems fair but not exceptional for this make model and trim.

This is not a great deal. There are brokers on here with this spec for same payment and 2 or 3k down. Think residual is 69% and theres a 10 incentive…
