Is this a good deal for a 2020 BMW X7 XDrive40i demo vehicle

,

Debating if I should go for this? Plus I have to add $1700 to this for transportation (NJ to OR)

Only incentive I got was $500 - not sure for what

MF is .00118

Residual is 56%

Pre-tax Monthly Payment: $743

Monthly Payment with Tax: $817

Drive-Off: $3,054

  • First Month Payment: $817
  • Down Payment: $0
  • Upfront Fees: $2,024
  • Upfront Taxes: $212

Disposition Fee: $350

Total Lease Cost: $31,611

Leasehackr Score: 8.1 years

I think you should push for 18% or more off a 5k demo X7, also why not max MSD?

Something like this:

Tried 18%…but he is not willing to go over 16% on the discount. Max MSD is an option…

It’s pretty good at 16%, but I’ll let others chime in, do you need to transport it back (and pay for that) at lease end? No dealers near you getting close to this deal that’ll save you transport?

No, the car is in NJ, you can do a lease grounding at any dealer supposedly, but sometimes corporate needs to be called. He needs to ship to him to start usage and can ground in OR.

Yes…the closest i got here was 10% disocunt on a loaner. Thats the reason I had to start looking around…even with the $1700 cost, it will work out cheaper than purchasing it in OR.

Are you saying that I can get the NJ dealer to ship it to OR without any cost to me?? If yes that would be sweet… how does the process work? where do i start? how do i get the 2 dealerships connected?

He is talking about lease return.

You can try to negotiate that with the dealer, if they’re unwilling to budge on the discount.

You’ll have to work that out with the originating dealer. Either you find a transport company, or they do, remote signing, etc.

Doesn’t work that way. Originating dealer (in NJ) or you will arrange to have the car shipped directly to you.

Also, grounding is just another term for returning a leased car.

What others have said. Car is there, you buy from there. When you return you can return locally. Return is the normal word for grounding a lease our term.

Yes…I was aware of the returns (grounding) policy.

Is this a good deal? With the $1700 additional charge the discount drops to ~13.5%. If you look at the larger picture, i am going to have to go through the hassle of arranging a truck, lack of choice of color, etc to save ~3.5% …doesn’t really seem worth it

SoCal, shopping cheaper, and deals aplenty. @BMW_Dave had a x7 loaner iirc.

Thanks bro! Right now all of my loaners are $83k+ MSRP so I’m not going to be in the ballpark. OP, isn’t Oregon 0% sales tax? Why is there a 10% sales tax in your calculation?

Thnx @BMW_Dave …let me know when you get something comparable in stock
not sure about the 10%…posting on behalf of a friend …will check if it was typo

Oh yeah if you’re in Seattle it would be 10%. I thought you were in Oregon based on your post.

Was worth a shot, oof.

? Nothing on the west coast? I’m confused. They eat the shipping or no deal

Always appreciated!! Loaner inventory is so hit or miss.

It’s an X7, not a base model 3er. No one in their right mind is going to eat $1,500 in transport on a deal this far in the red.

Not saying there’s harm in asking but that’s a big enough ask when you’re relying on volume bonus to make positive of it vs a hard loser like this.
