Almost $28k (at least) for a 3-yr Miata lease? Terrible deal. Easy way out is to work with a broker, else a lot more legwork needed in your part.

Quick math on a 37025 sales price and 7.5% CA tax for 60 months

You can BUY it for $736 mo with 2k down

At the end of 3 yrs you will owe about 16k. Right now 2023 Miatas are selling for about 25k

Since a Miata usually holds it value pretty well, have you considered buying it?

To answer some questions: I don’t anticipate keep the Miata long term because [1] I have vehicle ADHD, unless there’s something special about it, I change every 2-3 years. I would be keeping a Miata long term, IF Mazda ever releases a green color like they did for prior gens. [2] At this time I just want to get into a Miata for a little cash outlay as possible, because I’ve been waiting for a while for the right Lotus Evora to pop up on the market. I figure in the mean time, a new Miata is plenty fun and comfortable to commute in (I’ve had a few in the past). Thanks.
