My mother-in-law has a 2020 Q3 lease ending December 31st. I am thinking that the best option for now will be to extend her lease and hopefully catch a new lease deal in a cooling market in 3-6 months. I saw a closed thread from June of this year indicating that Audi was still doing lease extensions. Does anyone know if that’s still the case? Thank you!
You get a 6 month extension without much fuss. After that it’ll be more difficult but if you have a car on order with them they may continue to extend it.
6 month extension without any problem. Call AFS in the last month of the lease and tell them you want to extend. They will extend for 6 months. You can cancel at anytime as long as you paid for the month you are in. Your residual will get recalculated based on the number of extension payments you make. After that you can finance the vehicle through a dealership if you choose to buy the car.
I just called AFS. Although I still have 1.5 years left on my lease the rep was very helpful.
I can confirm that you can request up to 6 months (could be month to month). If you have a car on order, you can get a longer extension.
This was exactly what I was thinking, so I wanted to see if anyone had done this lately. Thank so much for the information, everybody! Really appreciate you sharing.
GM and Audi Are two different entities. Audi 100% reduces the residual on the leased vehicle should you choose to exercise your lease extension option. Your payment remains the same as well.
