Is $399/Month a Good Deal for a 24-Month Lease on a Kia K4 GT-Line in Wisconsin?

,

Hi Hackrs,

I’m located in Wisconsin and looking into leasing a Kia K4 GT-Line. I was offered a 24-month lease with 0 down, 12,000 miles/year for $399/month (including taxes and fees).

Does this seem like a good deal, or should I negotiate further? What factors should I consider to ensure I’m getting the best value for this lease?

Appreciate your advice and insights!

Thank you!

No Offence, but based on what info someone will tell you if this is a good deal?
Do you know rebates MF RV and dealer discount?
Please plug the numbers into LH calculator and and present it here.
What do you see on Marketplace?
If your deal is better than this what brokers offer you know the answer.
Btw. Do you know that for similar payment you can drive MB c300?

K4 is just a name change for the Forte.

You can buy a brand new 2024 Forte GT Line for 22k plus what, 6% tax?

What would most likely happen if you took this lease is that you’d finish it, return it and lease again. You’d end up making $28,000+ in lease payments over six years and never have any equity. That would be an absurd outcome for a car you could have bought for 22k plus tax.

This segment just isn’t lease hackable. It doesn’t have the huge discounts and massive incentives etc etc that make a lease hackable.

This is what I got from the dealer.

I agree with @max_g
What about elantra. It’s $100/m cheaper

I looked into Hyundai as well, but in my state, there aren’t many deals available, and overall, Hyundai seems more expensive than Kia.

If you don’t mind shipping, we can always offer to ship something out to you, but at this price point, the cost of transport probably breaks the economics. A real good deal is the Ioniq 5 if you don’t mind EV.

If you aren’t sure how to navigate the LH calculator, you are welcome to try out our free Calculator Tool

I used some assumptions since I don’t know your zip, but they are probably marking the rate up on you given the info you provided. Not familiar with WI, but you can change your zips and any info accordingly in the link below, or start from scratch from the link above.
