Inspection report. GM Financial Lease return. Does it look fair?

I can see it already.
Carvana offer: $8,563k

So, if I decide not to give the vehicle back, I can sell to one of these places, and i don’t have to pay the wear-tear fee of $680, and don’t have to pay dispo fee of $395. Roughly $1k I can save. Not bad.

If you paid GM financial 70/mo, how do you say it t cost you 40/mo instead including gas savings? This sounds like Tesla Math. 70/mo is still 70. It doesn’t magically disappear because you get 50 or 100 MPG. You’re still paying 70/mo to GMF monthly.

You better hope you were honest on the online form you filled out regarding the beat up condition of the car, or that might not work out as smoothly as you anticipate it being.

beat up condition, lol. It’s not as beat up as it looks from those specific angles. Most of the beat up images are from almost under the vehicle. The inspector first said, the condition of the car is like brand new, then he shows all those angles and tiny scratches on body in detail for the report. Now i think I should just pay the amount and get over with, not worry about replacing tires myself and waste few hours.

lol, true, just the gas savings, make it $50 then. My rate to charge the car was 8c/KWH .

That still doesn’t make it less than 70/mo effective. Gas or electric doesn’t magically reduce the amount of money you pay GMF each month when you owe them 70 if you drive 50 or 50,000 miles that month.

Now, if you’re saying you’re SAVING 50/mo in gas by driving an EV, that’s one thing. But it doesn’t change your effective monthly payment downwards.

Seriously? This is how you treat your car? It looks like they’re letting you off easy.

Man to be honest, I have seen autovin pics of my previous cars, and yes the cars looked amazing to me from outside, till inspection day came up and I found out about the excellent parking skills of the Mrs. :pensive:

Great, now also check Carmax locally. On my vehicle, the vroom and carmax appraisal was about $100 different. I gladly gave it to carmax then to avoid the wait game and bank issues (not sure abt gmf though) and sold carmax the car within 24 hrs.

the $500 damage waiver is still in effect going GM to GM lease or finance.
that’s a gnarly bill plus the disposition.

I mean he’s SOL since he got an i3 and didn’t stay with GM. like OP said, just a learning experience, looks like a low driveway or city driveways may have done that under damage but a lot of people mess up wheels nowadays since most cars are oversized 18-22.

for GM, wear and tear covers 1600 miles over, 5- $1000 damage occurences, lost key, wheels and tires. i always recommend this for 15,000 miles per year because 9/10 the tires will need replaced by then.

That’s what it is like In my case too. I will share other pics as well,I just shared the pics of damage here which makes it look like a beat up car now. Lol

How much is it usually? I assume it Depends on the value of car?

Thanks for all the info. Leasing is a completely different game , so good to know the details inside out.

They talk about 3x 2" dents on right front door, I tried searching for few minutes just can’t seem to find. $126.15 charged

and some other images below. Well it’s not as beat up as it seems in their damages pictures. A bit misleading it seems.

It’s all dependent on the type of damage and the cost to repair, not the value of the car. A 2 inch scratch will be cheaper then 4 inches of gouges in the plastic. The charges are usually pretty lenient too vs taking it to a body shop on your own.
