FL – Looking for feedback on a pending lease deal for a 2023 Subaru Ascent Touring.
I used calculator and results are below. Numbers got me pretty close (517 v 521) but out-of-pocket is $750, not 1167 so I went wrong somewhere.

Vice city dealers have no mercy
In this category, I added (and perhaps wrongly) the additional warranty (1015) to cover me should I exceed the base warranty of 36mo/36,000 mi + road hazard/tire protection (895) + 2y maintenance pkg (490) + 999 dealer processing fee. Please feel free to comment on if I am needlessly purchasing these add-on(s) as well.
Yes you should just do away with the add ons. It’s also not usually a good idea to roll trade in equity into a lease. Have you looked at just financing instead?
Take the equity as a check back to you. If you total the car the equity you put in is gone.
So effectively youre paying 950+ a month for a sub 50k subaru. (Because you’re putting 7500 equity down)
Personally thats bonkers to me.
If you are leasing you are needlessly purchasing these add-ons
If you purchase, keep it and get the Gold warranty as long as you research the price.
That dealer discount seems light for what I’ve seen in Marketplace recently. Consider making a donation for VIP eligibility and going with a dealer that offers VIP (car, financing, and f&i products)
Rodo.com, as a comparison, is less with just first month. Coming up with $691 with 36/15.
