Infinity QX60 Pure vs Honda Pilot EX-L

Please don’t kill me for the comparison…

Right now both of these vehicles lease for around the same numbers, with a slight advantage to the QX60 and I can’t for the life of me decide which one to get.

From research I’ve done so far the QX60 has not been updated in years, and is missing Android / Apple and new safety features like adaptive cruise control etc which the Honda has

The Honda also has 1 extra seat (8 vs 7)

Which one would you get, and why?

Personally I wouldn’t get the QX unless it was significantly cheaper. Look at insurance and fuel costs too.

The only reasons to take the QX60 out of these two is if you cannot live with a stigma of driving a minivan or if you really need AWD assuming you pick a QX60 with that option. Space and utility of the minivan is on a whole different level. Neither one you will take to a race track.

Also depends how much you are going to drive and for how many years - QX60 uses premium while Honda (my guess) regular.

Cost of maintenance?

Memory seats in Pilot EX-L are nice since QX60 Pure doesn’t have them. That one thing I miss in QX60.

Does it matter to you having 8 seats vs 7 seats?

my understanding is that the QX60 also uses regular gas. I’m going with the QX60 because to get the same kinds of features as the QX60 luxe you have to go with the Pilot Elite and that leases insalely terrible. Would end up being like $500/month.

Infinity web-site says “Gas Premium Unleaded”.

oh wow. Didn’t realize that. Thanks for the info.

The Pilot is superior to any Q-mobile.

Np. You got me scared there for a moment to drive the one I have on premium had it been allowed to be regular.
Would have felt pretty dumb.

Aren’t you a bit biased?

If I could get a Pilot Elite for under $400/month, 0 down. I’d jump on that in a heartbeat. I don’t see that happening though.

This one huge. I don’t pay attention to fuel costs too much because I don’t drive enough for it to matter. But, with impeccable driving record and top tier rates, my Q50 silver sport is significantly more expensive to insure than anything i’ve compared it to in that class. And I have compared a lot. I have GEICO and their app makes it easy to compare replacing a vehicle.

An equivalently equipped MB was $75 less a month on insurance.

True, that’s why I’m comparing these specific trims which are similar in cost but the Honda has more bells and whistles

What about the Honda Quint?

Oh baby so much glass on that Bad Boi!

I must have read the first post before my 3rd coffee of the morning…

Ended up going for the Pilot EX-L

36 months
7500 miles
$379/m all in, with real $0 DAS (aka first month free, so only 35 payments of $379)

Love it so far.

Only downside to it is the adaptive cruise control doesn’t work at low speeds.

Nice, hopefully 7500 is enough, that ain’t much
