Infiniti QX60 Oil Change Interval?

Any other QX60 lessees see the cars maintenance schedule? The car needs a full synthetic oil change every 5,000 miles? That seems extremely short given that most synthetic oils are rated 10K miles and up?

Is this something exclusive to the QX60? Infiniti? I know our Acura used to be every 10-12k.

It doesn’t require full synthetic. I think it’s just a synthetic blend every 5k miles.

Calls for 0W-20 SN

Isn’t that synthetic?

Synthetic Oil Change (Every)5,000 miles 39/m lease $150x7=1,050

Tire Rotation (Every)5,000 miles $50x7= 350
Cabin air filter (Replace) (Every)15,000 miles $150x2=300
Coolant (Flush/replace) (Every)75,000 miles
Air filter (Replace) (Every)30,000 miles $150x1=150
Brake fluid (Change) (Every)20,000 miles $200x1=200
Spark plugs (Replace) (Every)105,000 miles

About $2,000 maintenance cost for 39 month/12K lease term?

My Q50 only needs a tire rotation at 5,000 and oil every 10,000.

I had an Infiniti Q50 and the dealer would do the oil change for $39 and tire rotation for $19 (used to be that tire rotation was part of oil change visit all for $39).
You also don’t need to service it at the dealer if the prices are excessive.

Your quotes prices are ridiculous. Air and cabin filter for $150/each? Not even dealerships in SoCal charge anywhere near that.

The average cost for an Infiniti QX60 oil change is between $141 and $153. Labor costs are estimated between $44 and $56 while parts are priced at $97. Estimate does not include taxes and fees.

RepairPal has been ridiculously inaccurate in my experiences

Are you actually required to perform all that at those required intervals in order to turn in the car at least end?
And if you don’t do it are they going to charge for it?

My dealers at least covers 1st year maintenance.

But oil change every 5k does feel outdated.

That site is beyond useless!

Not sure why that site matters if you can just call up an Infiniti dealer to get pricing.

brake fluid…yeah I know but, Infiniti maintenance book says that.

Synthetic oil changes every 5k mi in my q50 and qx50 were $55 at Midas including service and taxes. Is qx50 really 3x the cost?

I think it makes a difference if he’s referring to the regular qx60 vs the rs400, high performance motors need fresh oil at a shorter interval, I do 6k miles for the hellcat so I think 5k is a bit ridiculous for a mass production car but 7.5k could possibly be stretching it. Most of the time the tires are rotated and balanced and alignment is checked when the oil change is going on. All the coolant flush, brake fluid flush, etc etc are unnecessary unless you drive the car very hard or track it. I dont know why spark plugs were even included only cars I have seen them changed out at a low mileage are certain Lamborghinis and ferraris.

But to the op I would be around the 6k miles mark and change the full synthetic oil. 10k is way too late the oil will be black as sh*t, 7500 is ok I suppose but I always take extra care of the car im driving and it’s better to be safe than sorry especially with these small displacement turbo engines with so many moving parts.

Do I have to take it to an Infiniti dealer for regular maintenance without impacting my lease contract? Can I take it to another reputed shop or another brand dealer if they’re cheaper? Infiniti dealer is too far for me.

You can use any shop. Keep the receipts

Infinity doesn’t have free maintenance for the first or second year? So if following the owners manual and you are not repair savvy, it can add up. I guess, that’s why they lease for less if you get a great deal, if not adding the maintenance make not make such a great deal?

I’m always worried about this. My father in law is a mechanic and does oil changes on our leases himself. Never had a problem but on Carfax it looks like we never change our oil.
