Hi Hackrs - the lease on my 2020 Infiniti QX60 is going to end in April 2024. It’s a 10k/39 month lease and only has about 15k miles on it. After initial research, I don’t think there is enough equity to warrant a buyout but would love to confirm.
Looking for suggestions on what to get next. Interested in another large luxury SUV as we have 2 kids under 6. When I was looking for this car, I considered the XC90 and the X5 but landed with the Infiniti.
I like the new QX60 and would be open to that - but wanted to see if there were other ones I should be considering.
That’s interesting. How close to the end of my current lease should I be getting serious?
Also my dealership reached out to me saying they wanted to do a buyback and to give me pricing on a new one. At this point, is it not really beneficial to me to be discussing it? Does ending my lease early work more in their favor? Thank you.
If you want to lease a QX60 again, March is probably a decent bet since it’s close to your end date and is NMAC’s fiscal year end.
2020 QX60s were blown out for really cheap so your lease made sense 3 years ago. For your next lease, it may not. Especially when you consider your total cost to drive ~5k miles per year and to repeat that every 3 years.
That’s a computer program mailing you a standard template approx 6 months before lease end.
Ignore it, or better yet, skip that dealer and try another Infiniti
If you need a car now, the XC90 has some nice rebates.
