After reading the article on Leasehackr for the Infiniti Q50 for $300 month with 0 down article, I’ve reached out to 6 or 7 Infiniti dealers in my area (Chicago area) and can’t come close to that payment.
From one dealer I was quoted a sale price $35,000 for the 2018 Q50 3.0 AWD LUXE with Essential and as soon as I mentioned leasing it, he jumped the sale price up to 38,860 and said the $35,000 was for purchase only. Several other dealers have done the same thing. It seems they won’t lease it based on anything lower than $38,000. What am I doing wrong?
Most dealers are quoting me $425 month with $2,000 due at signing.
A few other dealers have quoted me lease prices of $387 month plus tax, plates, registration due at signing
What would you do if you were me? I’ve only leased 1 car in my life.
They were very vague but one of them said selling the car at $35,000 is a $3500 loss. Maybe it’s different in other areas of the country. No luck here in Chicago.
I would not be too worried about it, unless you MUST have this car or Infinity in general and must have it now. There is plenty of other vehicles that either have or will have better deals than this.
I definitely am in the same boat. Looking at all these deals and trying to replicate in Chicago area the past 3 weeks has been pretty much impossible…been trying for both Infiniti and bmw loaners.
I don’t see any purchase-only rebates on the Q50 (looking at autobytel) in my area, so I am assuming this was some type of undisclosed dealer cash. Even if you requested a price before rebates, they’d probably still include that unless you made it clear you were leasing, right?
I got a dealer in ATL (I live in NC) at $360 a month with $1650 down for $48K MSRP Sports model. I told him I want to be at $350 a month with firsts month and DMV fees. Let’s see
If they’re capping your negative equity, then that’s where they’re making their money. But, overall, $360 plus driveoffs on a $48k sport is terrific. I can’t replicate it in the tri-state.
