Hello, I’ve been running numbers on an Infiniti qx60 sensory, and was quite happy with numbers I was running. MSRP $66,310, I was quoted a price of $59310, and that’s before lease incentive of $950. After running current numbers w/ 0.00178 MF and 56% residual for 3yr/15,000 mile, I was coming to number of about $910 / month total with local tax rate of 9.1% and expected fees.
The quote they sent, first off, had a high MF rate. I already called them out on that on got a story about I would need great credit score for MF I mentioned (I do, so will be changed), but even with that changed it’s still higher. What I didn’t get is a couple other numbers, including after sale/WeOwe and amount due at start (wanting $0 down, so just expecting first month payment upfront). Can anyone provide some insight as to what I’m dealing with here. Thanks much!
The dealer worksheet is pure garbage. Lots of stuff missing. You may want to read this…
Building a Motor Vehicle Lease- Data Collection and Calculations.pdf (370.9 KB)
They have $60,310 as the selling price and used a tax rate of 8.7%. Whatever that $1,800 “WeOwe” is was also added to the cap cost. But they show $1,900 as rebate to offset the $1,900 DAS presumably for $0 cash up front from you. Are your fees really $2,404?
That said, correcting the sale price, lease incentive, money factor and taking out the $1,800, and adding 10 MSDs still gets a payment about $805 and there are many other cars I’d rather have at that price.
So better to get a better price and learn how to structure a lease…
Thanks for the response and feedback. I’m no expert, but have a good concept of the general layout of a lease. I get tripped up with the terms they use (like the WeOwe thing) and the way they present the numbers. I’m definitely doing MSD’s, but trying to figure out rest first.
Anyways, I’m limited in my car options as I’m trying to appease the wife. This is the best of ones I’m working with. If you have any recommendations to check into for 3 row SUVs in that class, I’m open for them. Maybe I can sway the wife
I can relate.
3rd row SUV does limit the options quite a bit. My EQS SUV is at $756/mo but that’s with loyalty, MSDs and 7,500 mileage allowance as we don’t drive that much.
My buddy was roughly looking for something similar and he’s gonna wait for the ‘26 Telluride.
Yeah, I wish I was brave enough to go full electric, but not there yet. Would definitely open up other options. Thanks again for the advice.
If you can go with a Luxe the numbers will be WAY better. There are lots of data points on this forum.
With infiniti flex lease go for the 10k miles per year. its 10cents per mile over and can be purchased anytime up to 30 days before lease end. 15,000 miles over the 3 year lease is $1,500 or $42/month, get the lease quote for 10k instead of 15k and if the difference is significantly more then $42/month you saved some money.
Agreed we did the same but did 5k and it bumped the rv 2 pts.
Have you looked at the Acura MDX or Toyota Grand Highlander?
I have, but not finding numbers anywhere close on Acura MDX (plus no option for MSD) and Grand Highlander is so hard to find in trims I would like and good deals are very hard to come across.
Grand Highlander is going to be a vehicle you would purchase, not lease. The lease is horrible. There are several posts on this forum to that effect.
I remember seeing numbers for MDX on here recently. I don’t recall what they were. Did you do a search?
There are certain things I’m looking to have, so I’m a bit more picky when it comes to options. I’m ok with paying more to get those options, so comparing based on that.
Completely unfamiliar with the market for the QX60, but this sort of money has to be X5 territory.
Since I wasn’t happy with the dealers quote I posted, I took your advice of presenting a lease offer to another dealership that said they’d beat the other dealers offer. If it helps anyone, this is what I made. I’m happy with this, so we’ll see what they have to say. Oh, and I ran the numbers with the flex lease, and it appears to save about $10 a month w/ 10k and purchasing the extra miles. Not sure i feel like trying to figure out the ins-and-outs of that program at this point, even though it may be pretty straight forward.
I’m coming from an x7. No third row in X5.
