Infiniti Lease Buyout

Wife’s lease is ending in a few months and we (she) are leaning towards buying her lease out. We get their preapprovals in our online account all the time for a new lease or purchase but I am wondering if anyone has any experience with Infiniti Financial rates on lease buyouts. Do they offer subvented financing on buyouts? Our Infiniti before this was financed new at 0.9% so I’ve never dealt with the buyout part. Could always go the credit union route or pay it in cash but I figure if IFS will give me a 1.9% rate I’d take their money.

Do you really want to own an Infiniti and deal with their awful CVTs out of warranty?

Can always get an extended warranty if it still makes sense at that price.

I had coverage from Route 66 on the Infiniti I sold recently, and PenFed had the best prices by far (although like every other encounter with PenFed, buying it was an absolute nightmare).

I checked with the Infiniti dealer where the car had been serviced since new before committing to this coverage, and my service advisor indicated that Route 66 was good to work with and other customers were generally satisfied (or at least those who understood the coverage they were buying).

No deductible on these.

When I sold the car I got a prorated refund for the unused mileage/time left on the contract (original purchase price was $1,495).

Note that my 2011 required no repairs during the ~2 years it was covered by this plan.

Whether I want to or not is irrelevant. It is more than likely going to happen lol. Happy wife and all that. I can buy an extended warranty to alleviate that risk.

Thanks I am a member of PenFed and will check it out. I used them to finance a truck a number of years ago and that experience was pretty good. They are definitely an option.
