I joined leasehackr 10 years ago today. Here is what I learned over the past decade

How it happened. I was broke, I had done my first lease on my own, $269/mo for a 2013 TLX I felt like I was winning. Then I wanted to upgrade, and found this site when looking for lease info for a Mercedes E250 BluTech…now I just wanted to get into a new benz and be a baller.. They approved my app, drove from Chicago to Michigan and grabbed it for $299/mo with MSDs. Felt good.

I started to give back, as much as possible. TLX deals came around again and I helped people 10 years ago generate special coupons that got $1750 towards the lease, that deal was even posted online on the NY Times.

The community has been great, very helpful and we keep in touch. I even met up with someone that flew in a couple of weeks ago to Chicago.

The knowledge learned here has helped me get a $57/mo Hummer Truck; a $234/mo EQS, a $47/mo Chevy Malibu and even now doing a lease transfer for my father to take over an EV from a member here. Just to name a few.

At one point I was 2nd for days logged in until about 3 years ago, where I left a firm and started my own Tech Forward full service real estate brokerage. Today, we are licensed in 5 States and I sell Data Center Development Sites around the country and my agents specialize in other fields including residential sales, commercial sales and property management.

Just wanted to say thank you to all and have a Merry Christmas.

I tried looking for your “signed” post but can’t find them?

I’m Dec 3, 2015. Does anyone have me beat? I don’t post much, but I have been around a long time!

It was before signed was a thing. Except the Hummer but it was such an outlier didn’t want to destroy the numbers.

Destroy the numbers? I like to see the lease agreements to see how the deal is structured, especiallyt those with negative depreciation. I keep hearing about deals like that but haven’t seen one and am curious how they are wrote up.

how does this work? i am new to the site. how do i know what color i get. am i signing a contract? what trim is this and what are the other details?

I think you fill it in and someone contacts you for the details.
